Press Release

The Teen-Artist Project is a Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth education program. Students from across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in grades 10–12 are invited to apply to the program in the fall of each year. A select group of students are chosen to participate in the program based on their artwork, answers to several essay questions, and a teacher recommendation.

Once selected, students spend Sunday afternoons from December through April working with area artists at the Modern. Each artist works with the students over a period of several weeks, using the museum's current exhibition as a teaching tool and working with the students in the museum studio on related art projects. This year, the students had the opportunity to work with artists Titus O'Brien, Rachel Black, Chris Powell, and Libby Black in a variety of different media.
